Soft and Hard

Soft and Hard

Every once in a while there's a photo I took that the more I work on it and look at it, the less I like it. I think this is that sort of image, but I'll post it anyway. I originally framed the image to abstract the sky and rock surface of Stone Mountain in Georgia but I think the sky was too cluttered with clouds for what I wanted to achieve, so I cropped the image in a more panoramic aspect. Perhaps this cropping makes it a little more successful. As in the title, there is that contrast of the softness of the clouds against the hard surface of the mountain. Judge for yourself. (Can you tell I'm lost in ambivolence?)
