In Midst of Knowledge

This photo, taken on my visit to London in 2008, was an idea I had when I spied this quote by Alfred Lord Tennyson on the floor of the courtyard of the British Museum. The quote reads, "And let thy feet millenniums hence be set in midst of knowledge," which is certainly true when one stands in midst of this magnificent architecture housing centuries of art and historical artifacts. The day we visited was dull and gray outside, so I converted this image to black and white and gave it a Holga/Lensbaby sort of treatment in post-processing.
