Graffiti, Elizabethan style
"Graffiti" such as this can be seen on the walls of the rooms in the Tower of London where prisoners of the Crown were held many years ago. Amazing to think of the time and effort put into the creation of these carvings. Some are very intricately scratched in the stone surface, all in varying stages of completion... which leaves one wondering why their creators were unable to complete the carvings....
