Blue Ridge Foreshadowing
This was shot two evenings ago of the the color in the sky and the clouds hanging in the valley below us. It turns out that sky was a foreshadowing of the storm that moved in on us late afternoon yesterday, knocking out our power—and thus our water also—for about 28 hours. The storm was incredible, with darkened sky and amazing winds as it moved across our hilltop, knocking down branches, limbs and a few trees. It even blew our furniture off the porch. The power just this evening came back on and we have a new appreciation for the power of nature and the blessing of things we take for granted, like water and electricity.
